Default Rear window motor

My rear drivers side window doesn't roll down. anyone know exactly how to get in there and check on the motor/ replace it? Where are the bolts or how does the panel come off?

this stuff is a pain in the a$$. Simple but time consuming. First you have to take out the entire rear seat assembly. Then take the inner panel off. Just look around and you will see the clips or bolts holding the panel on. The reason you have to take the seats out is because the panel is under the seats a little or you will just end up creasing or cracking the panel. Real easy just be sure to take your time to not break anything. I do this stuff every day at work. The interior is very fragile with the right amount of stress. Good luck. Ford has always had a problem with window motor.

alright thanks a bunch man, but just to make sure its the motor, the lights dim a bit when the button is pushed, when the car is on, not started there is no noise, but when it is running there is a humming noise from that area, that would be a bad motor right? not a regulator or anything?

yes it will sound like a hum with a little rattle to it. Best way to tell is by taping on the motor itself while you push the button. 9 times out of 10 the window will go down or up. As for the regulator it all depends on how the setup is sold. You might be able to just get a motor or you might have to get the whole thing. Been insie these things before the rear window rotating assembly is pretty small compared to a door.

Yes it will be directly on the other side of the inner piece of metal. You might see bolts just randomly sitting there on the metal they are what is holding the motor there. Or since we have fords they are most likely going to be rivets. Not to insult your intelligence but I'm going to assume you know what they are. Those you will have to drill out with a bit almost as large as the rivet. But first see what you can do to un bolt the window first. Then just take some tape and secure it to the roof.
