Hey guys, im going to be changing my oil today and was wondering what is the best oil to use for the 01 cobras. What do you guys use?

i use royal purple, but Mobil 1 is good too

in truth any 5w 20... but I like synthetic because you dont have to change it as often. Any brand name synthetic is fine, its all the same stuff. Dropping alot of money on RP or something like that is really just a waste of money

...Actually, at my engine shop, the owner found about 4 more HP with the RP over the Mobil 1 for what that's worth...I currently run the RP...

im a fan of mobile 1 and then i get the performance mobile 1 filter with it..... not sure how much of a difference it makes but ive always used it

Ok guys i just drained the oil from the plug on the oil pan, switched the oil filter, and put 6 quarts of full synthetic mobil 1 in. Is that enough oil?

i could be wrong but i think i put 8 in mine

I believe 6.5 is what mine generally takes. Run the engine them check the oil level again.

6 quarts according to the Ford SVT manual.........

7 quarts is a good idea to be safe. An extra quart of oil is a lot cheaper than a spun bearing.
