I NEED ALL SVT OWNERS NOW!!!! HELP!!
i have a new 97 cobra that i love, i was driving today through town going home, running fine, i was going 40 in 5th with the 4:10's at 1700 rpms range..car shuts off, lose power steering and no more brake feel, the accessories shut off...i pull over pop the hood, the belt is still on it...i crank it and it does everything perfect but turn over....it cranks but wont pop and turnover...
I had my buddy turn the key 3/4 of the way to see if i could hear the fuel pump running but i cant'....i got the factory key back because i was using the one the guy gave me that wasnt the factory key it wasnt chipped right.....by ford, instead by his repo neighbor...so i got the new key and tried it....does anyone have any idea??? we asked a ford mechanic and he said the wire under the column of the sterring wheel comes out under tension...so we are going to go and try it///.....

The same thing happened to me last summer. I replaced the fuse and it kept blowing, I brought it to a shop and there was a bunch of wires touching my o/r x pipe, and the wires burnt through. Check underneath your car, make sure nothings touching down there, cause new wires were like $300 with the install.

Did you look? How'd it turn out? Cause my fuse kept blowing about every other day till I finally figured out there was a problem. And as soon as I read your OP, I knew what had happened, I didnt even have to keep reading to see where you said you blew a fuse lol.
