Default functional hood scoops on cobra

hey wondering if ne one has cut out the bottom of the hood on there sn95 to make the scoops functional? would water getting on the top of the engine compartment have any negative consequences. i kno the electronics shouldnt get wet but those are all at the front of the engine. any input or pictures would be appreciated thanks

shouldn't hurt anything, my car has open scoops, so does the new gt500, so i see no reason it would hurt anything

ive heard of it done a couple times, it wont hurt anything. im not sure what its going to acomplish, its not going to work like a ram air.... but i guess any extra heat venting cant hurt!

I've done the hood mod on my terminator (Remove hood blanket & plastic covers that cover the vents). I've never had a problem.

no.... your thinking of a chevy..... EVIL, theres a setup to route the off the underside of the hood to the intake box, but nothing made for a mustang like that....

unless you retrofit a mach1 setup

you mean like the shaker hood setup? that doesn't sound like an easy job...but i think that takeing them out will do good for heat extraction
