Default 03 COBRA METAL TO METAL NOISE DURING ACCELERATION

I HAVE AN 03 COBRA....AND WHEN I ACCELERATE, AND IT ONLY SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN I FLOOR IT....I HEAR A METAL TO METAL NOISE WHICH SEEMS TO COME FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE, NEAR THE TIRE.....AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE HEAT SHIELD BUT DOESNT SEEM TO BE LOOSE AT ALL......I HAVE GOTTEN IT ON A LIFT, AND THERE IS NOTHING DOWN THERE THAT SEEMS TO BE LOOSE.,..CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THIS MIGHT BE? POSSIBLE WHEEL BEARING? WOULD THAT RATTLE IF ITS BAD? WHEEL BEARING LOOKS FINE TO ME.....LIKE I SAID, ONLY MAKES THE NOISE WHEN IM AT HIGH RPM'S AND PUSHING THE CAR......IF ANYONE HAS EXPERIENCED THIS OR KNOWS WHAT IT IS I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT

xpipe connection to header?

narrow it down to drivetrain or motor/trans.... rev it up high in nuetral and see if the sound happens while your parked.

can you describe the noise better? Does it increase as RPM increases or with RPM? Is it a high freq...ting or a lower...thud? It's not a wheel bearing, I've gone through 7 of them...they squeal when they go bad...always. Do you feel anything in the steering wheel or the SOTP? NVH (noise/vibration/harshness) is almost impossible to accurately diagnose without actually being in the car, so you must be descriptive as possible.

its like a sound it would make if the dust shield was flapping back and forth against metal, tinging noise....it only happens when im arounf 4g or so, and then punch it.....but if i was to gradually get up to higher rpm's, it wont make the noise....only when wide open throttle.......what does sotp stand for?........the steering wheel does seem to vibrate a little bit

SOTP = Seat of the Pants.

If it sounds like a dust shield...it may just be. Remove them and see if it changes. You don't need dust shields.

Press the clutch in when you hear it. See if that corresponds with the noise.

It could be a throwout bearing.
