It can be turned off by your tuner in the tune. A cheater way to do it too is to set it for 8000 rpm...since you never rev your engine that high, it will never come on. If you have a flash tuner, you can tell it what rpm to turn on at.

lol stupid ford! Putting in a shift light, after they already F-ed up by putting in a forged engine, a 6 spd, and a supercharger. Geez will they ever stop! Well since they did such a stupid thing, any of you guys wanna trade your cars for mine? No shift light!!

When I first got my car I didn't know about it and it kept telling me to shift at 1,700 rpm's. I was like who the hell shifts that early, I know it for fuel economy but you can still shift at 2,500 and get fairly decent mpg's.
