If installed correctly, gears should never whine. Take it back ASAP, before they try to put the blame on you..
+1!! I could not agree anymore! I just got my FRPP 3.73s installed Friday the 29th(May) and there is NO gear whine or noises at all, quiet as stock.. Go take it back right away.. If you put too many miles on it, the ring and pinion is prob already established a wear pattern and is done for..
...Some of the Richmond gears DO whine!! ....FRPP should not, perhaps the specs on the backlash is a little off...did you put new bearings in with the gears??

Once again if installed correctly no gears should whine. I also had a set of Richmond gears (373's) and I had no problem. Luck, No.. They were installed correctly and if they did whine, you can best beleive I was going to take it back.
