Default Bought a '99 Cobra a few weeks back

Hey Everyone,

I picked up a '99 Cobra a few weeks back and have been browsing the boards since then just to get a feel for the car, what works and what doesn't, popular parts, etc. Just wanted to drop a line in the SVT thread to say what's up and I look forward to learning more and being an active & contributing member. I tend to take a good deal of pics during installs, so I'm hoping to chronicle my progress with the car as things start being purchased and installed.

Here's a few pics as she sits now, got her washed over the holiday weekend. Gonna bust out the Porter Cable and do a full compound, polish, and sealant job sometime here soon. Also need to get the front bumper repainted, it's pretty nicked up.

Only things done thus far are replacement smoked headlights, new third brake light for the spoiler, new tires, cleaned all the grime out of the inner part of the factory wheels, replacement hood latch and release cable, and a shorty antenna. Parts that are on the way are the MGW short shifter, dust boot, and composite ****, a pair of hood struts, replacement OEM gauge cluster housing, the gauge face trim ring kit, a new OEM headlight ****, and replacement wiper arms. I'm basically just cleaning things up at the moment as you can see.

Still making a parts list and researching power adders, but I tell you what, the car has been a blast thus far.

Anyone know of a good source for a '01 Cobra rear bumper? I'd like to swap out mine at some point since the recessed lettering on mine still reads MUSTANG. I've found all the OEM sites, and Late Model Resto has them for sale, but damn if they don't cost almost $600.

Anyone make a replica for cheaper that is worth a damn?

try to fine one off a wrecked car or something, check out svtperformance.com, it'll be much cheaper and if your lucky you can find a black one.

All the parts I ordered from LMR, MGW, and American Muscle last night have already been shipped out, looks like I should have everything by the early part of next week, awesome.
