Vey tough call. Those tires are 395 a piece new. So a used set at 200 bucks aint bad. Yes they will still grip well, almost like running a shaved track tire. Their UTQG rates them at 140 A A which means they are damn sticky. But they are a SUPER SOFT COMPOUND which means with 3/16" of tread left, you'll only get maybe 1-2K miles out of them. So ask if you want to spen 200 now and then another 400 in 2500 miles.

Depends on the tire on how wide you can go. 315 nitto DR's will fit a 9" rim, but 315 BFG DR's won't. So check back after you decide on a tire.

i took the POTENZA's off my girls car with probably 20k miles left in them, they just didnt feel safe to me, they slid out on a curve, and once when someone pulled out in front of us, it just didnt seem to stick!!

replaced em with F1 D3-GS's.... now its an indy car =)

okay i think i made up my mind on New Pair 285 30 18 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 Tires, or its better to go 285 35 18? now will these stick "best" for my 450rwhp SVT? and will they fit my 18x8.5 rims and look good?

i'd go with the bigger size... just my .02

and they should fit, the actual tires are 11 1/4" wide, so on a 8.5 rim, it should look ok..

Go to : http://www.tirerack.com/ and look into the Ultra-high performance summer tires and get what you like.
I am running 275/40-18's on the back with a 8.5" rim and they look good!
Saleen told me that I could go as wide as 285/40-18 with out rubbing.
Just did not find a tire that I liked in that size.

I wanted tires that would last more than 17,000 miles this time so, I got the BFG G-Force A/S for the rear and the Goodyear Eagle GT A/S for the front.
Would have gone with the Goodyears on the back but, they did not come in that size.
Took an 1,000 mile trip last month down most of the California Coast HYWY and they were GREAT! 20 mph warning signs on turns meant 55 mph! LOL!
