Fiat buys ford
Haha alright I lied; bad first impression I apologize but I just needed your attention and opinions. I'm in the market for a new car and I really like the 03-04 cobras. Now I'm a diesel truck owner and would like any advice about the cars; pro's and con's. Any extra maintenance since it's supercharged? Achilles heel? I plan on using this car for along time like adding 100k+ miles (a little exaggerated) but also adding exhaust and eventually tuned but not going for 650hp, but maybe 649hp max. Now these are gorgeous cars on the out side but internally I don't know much. Are they pricey to maintain? The only thing that scares me is their almost if not out of warranty so is it a very long lasting reliable car if used as a Daily Driver driven relatively easy? Also PM me if you'd like but insurance rates? Im a 19yr old driver in TX; clean record yet "a high risk" insurance wise and would like a ball park estimate. Thanks to everyone who stayed and read and also left advice.

your not going to get 650 hp and drive it daily... suggest if buy one pre-modded on ebay if you wanna drive the snot out of it.
to buy one and make it 650 hp, your looking at about 10k minimum worth of mods to achieve that.
insurance isnt that bad... check carmax for a 03/04, get the vin # off it and ask your insurance company how much it would go up.
hopefully someone else will chime in with more miles on theirs.. ive only got 24k miles on mine.

F*** SVTPerformance. The moderators suk at life. And it's a biased site.
To answer your question...I had daily driven my car since I bought it new. It's got 60K miles on it now. I drove it across the country three times in it and it been a dream car for me since it's inception. It has transformed since I bought it new, but even now it's my daily driver and ONLY car. I had a 2.4 KB on it since the odo had 1987 miles on it. Drove it that way (580 rwhp) for 55K miles until I went turbo. Even as a turbo car, I still love driving it and it's no harder to maintain than when it was stock. With that being said, maintenance is still not cheap. Oil changes every 3K, plugs every month or two, and gas gets more expensive all the time. Insurance cost's are going to be cheap for you, but it shouldn't be much more than what you're paying now.
The interior is sexy and always will be. Just don't let people eat or smoke in the car, and your interior will live a long happy life.
