1996 4.6 to 2003 4.6 engine swap
Is it an easy swap meaning will the tranny match. Which engine is better performance wise? I have a stock 1996 Cobra with blown head gasket. I was looking for replacement heads in case they are unusable after tear down. I came across a 2003 crate engine for $1200. Sounds like a good deal to me - what do you guys think?

FOund out more info on the new engine. It's a regular GT engine. It still sounds like a good deal for someone though. It comes complete from the intake down including wiring harness,alt and starter. Only thing missing is computer.
