I thought all Cobras came with a plaque on the engine with the signature of who assembled it, but I can't find it on mine? I have an 01, does it make a difference?

mine doesnt have it because the owner before me replaced the engine with a stock replacement so maybe your previous owner did too

That sucks! I noticed the plaque when I bought mine, but I would not have known to look for one before I saw mine. Have you run the vin# to make sure its a cobra and not a "clone"? You can check on carfax or www.nicb.org NICB runs a free check and tells you if the vehicle was totalled or stolen.

hmm makes me wonder are the stock replacement motors handbuilt also?

Ya I work for the Police, I ran the vin and it is a true Cobra, just doesn't have that plate for some reason. Probably someone put different valve covers on it??

yea can be valve covers, but also over the year if you clean the motor or do something like a valve cover swap, many ppl forget or dont care to change it over, but it is the fornt pass side valve cover, and it could peel off, it is just a sticker.....it means a lot to me...and idk what to tell ya lol ur car looks nice tho
