3.4 whipple blowing open resovoir cap pressure??

i just put a 3.4 whipple on a built 03 cobra has 750 miles o it since bout 450 miles started to blow rubber seal around cap i have a canton resovoir its buildn up too much pressure i blew out the hoses but no coolant seems to come circulating any ideas please help
