Default will my warranty fix my head tick noise

after taking my car to a few mechanics they seem to come to the conclusion that the ticking im hearing if in the head(drivers side) and not an exhaust leak. had the car on a lift and the mechanic use a stethescope to listen and he said its in the head........so my question is what are my options. my car was bought through carmax and i purchased the 6year/75,000 warranty. does a warranty fix head tick problem? other concern is ive installed a larger intercooler, larger intercooler reservior, larger radiator reservior, and an x-pipe with high flow cats. do you think they would void my warranty for those things? noticed a slight tick from day one, but has seemed to have gotten louder. still sounds like an exhaust leak to me though. its a rythmic tick the increases with rpm's, mostly hear it at low rpms after shifting from 1st to 2nd. thanks for any advice.

....It's all up to the warranty company!! In most cases, installing the larger HE tank & HE, radiator overflow and CB shouldn't make any difference with the head tick! ....The O/R they might have a problem with...Most 04's didn't have this problem!

....I would put the stock cats back on, take it to them & see what happens...Good luck!

Well I doubt Carmax will actually fix your car. They're a bunch of ****ing retard monkeys working there. They're like a lube service, and that's about it. They'll probably send it out to a Ford dealer or something. That's what our local Carmax does. They send all their Cadillacs and Buicks to us when it needs more than an oil change or brakes.

im still convinced its an exhaust leak. but the ticking got louder when i replaced the factory h-pipe with the slp x-pipe but there is absolutely no leak where the x-pipe bolts to headers. im lost. i listened to some u tube videos of the head tick and mine isnt loud like that. mine sounds like a leak instead of metal tapping on metal like the videos showed.

sorry no video., yes noise is there all the time...its definately not a tap, but a tick and its rythmic based on rpms. you can really hear it at low rpms like once you shift from 1st to 2nd accelerating, but can be heard in all gears and all rpms. at idle you can hear it on driver side. you can hear it at idle through the engine wheel well and under the car. with the hood up i dont hear any strange engine noises. i made an appointment for monday with auto max to see what the noise is. im sure there gonna tell me its normal but maybe theyll surprise me. ive installed superchargers and engines etc, but i just dont want to have to mess with a header gasket install. it looks like a night mare to do
