Your local NAPA sells them for about $2 a plug...

I'm planning on ordering these, unless someone here has tried them and had problems?

IMO the standard TR-6's work just as well at a 1/5th the price....

Hi, I'm all for saving money, but would gladly spend extra on a performance enhancement if it does what NGK claim. Have you tried both? or do you feel it's just a sales pitch to buy a more expensive product.

I don't look at this lightly, it's not like one is red and the other is blue. There appears to be a significant design difference in the electrode area, wether that makes a difference or not?

Trying both under identical conditions would validate their claims.

Here is a copy of americanmusle's claim, wether that's NGK's I don't know.

High Performance replacement
Improves fuel economy and lower emissions
Heat Range: 6
NGK part# 4477
Fits 03-04 SVT Cobra and 07-09 Shelby GT500
Sold as a set of 8

V-Groove Technology
Improves fuel economy and lower emissions
Heat Range: 6
NGK part# 4177
Fits 2006-2009 V6 Mustangs.
Sold as a set of 8

I'd like to try, but would love feedback from someone who has actual experience.

regards,
Jeff

I'm not questioning your knowledge Tim on these plugs, just don't want to let something good pass me by.

i agree with Tim. only one way to find out, however, even if the more expensive ones are in fact better, it wont be by much and definately not worth the price differance in my opinion. i'm all for you proving me wrong though
