Jim, I think it really depends on what your future plans for the car are. If you are planning on mostly daily driving and minor mods, a King Cobra clutch would be fine. The only issues you would have, if any at all, would be if you were doing major mods with significant gains in horsepower. From what I have heard, the guys that don't like the King Cobra clutch are the ones with somewhat extensive modifications and well over stock horsepower. My 98 Cobra has approximately 270 horsepower, nearly stock. As with any clutch replacement, at least re-surface your current flywheel. I had mine resurfaced for 20 bucks, threw my new King Cobra in, ran it at the 1/8th mile track all summer and drove it to work everyday with not a single problem....but, that's just the personal experiences of my fellow Mustang buddies and myself.

You could change the input shaft of the tranny (while out), but since the car is MOSTLY street, I'd go with the 10 spline!

...As for the flywheel, up to you! ...Just make sure the Cobra flywheel is NOT different the the GT...I'd call this order & talk to the tech at Summit Racing!

Both of my Cobra's still have the stock 10 spline, BUT, the DSG will get a 26-spline when a clutch is due... GL .... Tim
