Default Aluminum wheel spacers

I am about to buy some, hearing no bad things about them until today someone mentions that they can break under hard acceleration.

Has this been known to happen? Or only in super high HP applications?

Anyone know of a well priced 1/2"-1" spacer? Or have some to sell?

K Thanx

Check with Maximum Motorsports and Eibach.

There's a TON of 03/4 Cobras running around with 3/8" spacers and extended thread lugnuts with no problems.

The Eibach 1" spacers get bolted to the original studs and are equipped with their own studs.

25.4mm = 1" btw.

1/2 spacers...

I've never seen them break or be an issue when properly installed.

I'm pretty sure a company as large as Eibach wouldn't sell/market them either if they broke and were such a liability.

Now, of course there are el-cheapo cast-in-China spacers that can crack and fail. But a billet hubcentric...you'll be fine.

I got some 1" Spacers for my wifes '04 Mach1. They're Hub Centric. Just check Ebay. They go pretty cheap and well made also.

Yeah I tend to stay away from Ebay--Chinese quality control is absent from production in almost everything they make haha. Those 1/2" ones from MM look pretty sweet, might need them for when I drop the car this month. It seems like this crap is way overpriced though--$150 FOR ALUMINUM? Alas, thanks for the info guys!
