Default How do I get my A/F and boost guages to dim?

So what I've got going on here is that the last owner of my 97 Cobra installed these 2 guages into a pod attached to the A-pillar when he had a supercharger installed. This wouldnt be a problem except that they're constantly full brightness even at night, which completely blinds my vision to the left. Right now my solution is having the guage pod removed and the wiring cut off and taped, but oviously this looks like crap with holes in the a-pillar and taped off wires sticking out. So my question is how SHOULD these pods be wired so that they actually can be dimmed down at night?

Well, mine are tied into the actual guages of my dash. Meaning, they don't light up during the night and then they turn on with the gauges when I turn my lights on. They also change brightness by adjusting the headlight ****. They aren't obnoxious to begin with, so I just leave everything fully bright.

On my last car, I had this done pretty much the same way, except these didn't change with adjusting the headlight ****, so the kit came with a separate dimmer switch which also controlled the colors.

I will note though, these were both professional installs, but I do know they were both tied into the existing gauge cluster.

i just wired up my guages recently, and i tied mine to the headlight switch so they were to come on with the marker lights, to make them work with the dimmer, you will have to find which wire on the cluster pig tail is the one for the dimmer switch. or simply run a separate dimmer. all you need is a test light and basic 12 volt knowledge
