my97cobra

I need help trying to isolate where this noise on my 97 Cobra is coming from and possible causes. Sitting in heavy traffic lately when I slowly take off in 1st or 2nd gear I get a vibration/resonating noise. If I pull off quickly I only hear it for a split second. It sounds like it's coming from the tranny but I'm not positive and don't know of any way to find out since the car has to be moving for it to happen. I can feel some vibration in the shifter **** as well when this happens. I only have 38k on the car and it runs great otherwise. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
