Hey guys, I wanna pull the trigger on a 99 cobra convertible. Just to make sure. 99's had mustang on the rear bumper correct? I have a lot of learn about mustangs but wanna make sure it's not a badged GT. It has 80k miles on it, is lowered with a full exhaust system and has 80k on the car. What are some things I should look for? I'm used to hondas and toyotas but not sure about Fords. I'm most likely going to take it to a shop somewhere in the Bay Area for a pre-purchase inspection. Anybody have suggestions about a good shop? Thanks

the 8th digit of the VIN should be a "V"
anything else and it is not a real Cobra

yeah the 99s have mustang on the rear bumper.

GL ... why not take it to a local Ford dealer for the inspection!
