Default 99 mustang cobra transmission

well im planing on pushing 600+ to the rear wheels i was wondering if a stock t 56 would be able to handle that. and what are the mods needed to make the t 56 fit in my 99 cobra

im sure mfj already told you the answer but it should work just need to uprgrade all the internals input shaft output clutch flywheel forks synchros...i would just overhaul everything once your already into it

i was just going to go ahead and build my t 45 if its worth it, and i was just wondering i heard from a person that subframe connectors are only for solid rear end carsis that true or will subframe connectors fit on my irs

ya thats not true at all...my 01 cobra with IRS had subframes....i would most def get subframes with that kind of hp man...you gonna upgrade your irs and such maybe finding a junk yard solid rear would be good too

I wouldn't waste my money by throwing it into a t45. Get a tko 600 or a t 56.

well i guess transmission is the last thing im going to worry about, i just baught steeda ud pullies, and steeda full length subframe connectors. do the subframe connectors hafto be welded in or is it just bolt on?

there is 2 diff kinds one that you weld in and another that you bolt in...i was always told that you should weld them in no matter what cause of the huge strains that they endure and to also have someone good do it so you dont pop welds youd be surprised how much work they actually do

yeah i heard that they should be welded in too ill see if i can find a shop that actually knows how to weld

well i found a website that sells complete transmissions d&d transmissions, they sell t-56 with 26t input shaft, they are really pricey tho
