As others stated, use your stock ignition coils, just buy new spark plug boots from your local NAPA and change your spark plugs! No iridiums! Use NGK TR6's and gap them at 32!
is it alright if i use the NGK V Power Spark Plug? that's what i found in my area. at advanced auto parts. they say it will fit my car. on the ignition coil. i have 6 original ones and 8 accel coils. is it ok if i put the 6 back in and 2 accel coils for now. till i get the other two.
i checked the plugs this morning and saw that the #1 plug was a little loose. by loose i mean i unscrewed it by hand. how tight are they supposed to be. i checked them all out. and they seem to be fine. i put them all back and went for a test drive. it started up nice. idled fine. took off fine. i got to the freeway and it had trouble getting up to 60. i pushed it a little and it started to shake and i guess misfire. i got back to the house and cut it off. i opened the garage to put it in and when i went to turn it back on. it almost cut off on me. i gave it some gas and it sputtered to life. i'm on my way now to get the new plugs. and am going to change them all out. also the ignition coils.
