Question Just Bought an 01 Cobra...Whats first?

So, I just bought this car last night. Silver with a black convertible top. What is the best things to do first? I have never had a Mustang so I am not sure what to add on first.

Depends on what you want to use it for.

01 convertible, excellent choice!

All I ever did to my 01 was intake and catback. For the intake, most agree that just changing the filter (K&N type) is as good as anything else, that's all I did and removed the air silencer from the heat shield. Those are probably the 'normal' first mods...

Well if it was my car, Full exhaust (longtubes, midpipe, catback), Intake, Gears, Tune, Short Shifter!

Well depends on what you want out of the car. I can tell you that a cai, tune, and exhaust on a manual will put you at about 280 rwhp on a load bearing dyno. If you want anymore then you need to go f/i problem is our 4.6l is not the same as the terminator so the most you can run is about 8-10 psi and I do mean that is the most. Gears are a nice mod to improve acelleration but can reduce mpg so keep that in mind with high gas prices.
