04 cobra won't move

Any gear I go in won't move just sits there and revs any help please

Schmalgar Jun 6, 2011 11:16 PM

Possible that the clutch is stuck and not disengaging. I had that problem on an m6 firebird...

if you can feel the gear pop in then your can prolly count the tranny out...does sound like a clutch issue

Any gear I put it into when sitting there just revs and doesn't go anywhere it goes into all gears just fine

Timspony Jun 7, 2011 12:03 PM

...Might have to jack up the car & check the rear, driveshaft, tranny & the cable as well

cobra21987 Jun 7, 2011 12:30 PM

Would you guys think the tranny would be completely shot. I don't wanna bring it in before I know I got enough money to fix this pile of ****

Do you mean all of a sudden it had trouble shifting from third to fourth? Because that was exactly what happened to me in the Trans Am I mentioned earlier. First I had problems just shifting into one specific gear (2nd) and then it stopped moving in any gear. That was the clutch in my case. Sounding more like it's the clutch for you, too. But I am not knowledgeable enough to say with certainty.
