I have driven 2 cobras
I have driven 2 cobras. One was a 2004 Mystic and the other was a 2004 Torch Red. The mystic one was totally stock. The red one had an aftermarket pulley which was very small. Funny thing was, the mystic one had the AC on and actually felt faster. The red one didnt whine as loud either. I found that strange because I thought that the smaller the pulley the louder the whine. Anybody have any ideas why the mystic one felt quicker than the pullied red one?

Maybe something to do with the tune on the pullied one ?
Lots of things can play into this factor really. |
also windows down/up makes a huge difference in sound. I know with windows up for some reason in my vert the whine used to be loud as hell, but i think thats because when my windows were down i was going deaf from the exhaust.

Thats what I thought. I rolled the windows up in the red one and it was a little louder.

Sounds like a tune issue....that small pulley should really wake up the car!! ...Did you look at the boost gauge on either Cobra?
|
Yeah the red one had an aftermarket one next to the hazard switch. That one went up and the mystic one did to.
|
Which one did you drive first? :icon_vp:
|
Mystic one.

Its obvious that the car with the louder whine was the one trying to say "BUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ME":icon_flowers:

sounds like a tune issue. if that stock tune was reflashed in the pullied car that thing is a bomb ticking, and would take it easy on it till you can get it to a dyno to check A/F. a pullied tune car and add 50RWHP
