3.73 vs 3.27 gears
I have a 01 cobra and I was wondering if I should put 3:73 gears in my car. Its my only ride would it burn alot more gas or should i use 3.55 I been told I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the 3.27 and the 3.55. please help

neither... 4.10s at the minimum, TBH the gas loss isn't bad at all... most of it is made up for being in the next gear when you would be in the last. Even on the highway 4.10s aren't horrible.
You have an extra 1000 rpms to spin over the 2v guys and even a lot of them have 4.10s.

ive had all of them 3.27 3.55 3.73 and 4.10...af course you know what 3.27 is like not much kick in the low end...3.55 helps but like you said not really worth the money...3.73 is absolutely perfect imo it doesnt affect MPG its easy to drive and it has like the perfect first gear not to short...i absolutely hated my 4.10s at first it was so sweet and fun woke it up like crazy but after awhile it become extremely annoying having to shift before you get outta the intersection of light...it was my DD and it became a pain to have to shift so mucha and it gave me bout 4 less MPG...i will honestly never go back to 4.10s in any car FI or not....but thats my opinion some ppl like it or even higher 4.30 and 4.56

4.10s or bust bro. My old 98 i put 3.73s in it first, waste of 150$. It helped, but the car picked up 4mph and dropped almost 3 tenths in the quarter when i switched to 4.10s and tossed some UDPs on there
went from 13.1@105 on a drag radial (3.73) to 12.89@109 on street tires (4.10)

I'm with TIMSPONY on this one.
You will notice a significant change in how the car pulls with 3.73 vs the 3.27, but you can also install 3.90s as an intermediate step between 3.73 & 4.10. If it were mine, I would probably go with 3.90, but you will get a nice improvement from 3.73s.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

Thanks guys so pretty much I love going to the track Hertford,VMP,Richmond, everywhere but I guess my biggest concern is gas mileage premium is like $3.75 now. I noticed the 3.27 don't seem to pull in 5th gear. So basically if I get 4.10 I can kiss gas mileage goodbye cause I'm looking for a work car right now.
