I've been reading about some problems with the 2.9L & 3.4L Whipple's ..... Trust me, I was very close to buying a 2.3L this past winter (went POSI ported)..Whipple is the only other SC going on my Cobra!...I would buy a 2.3L (old & proven)...I'm sure I'll be putting one on before long!!

60# injectors will be fine....Might be able to get away with the stock pumps and a 40amp BAP...I would go with at least a SCT 2600 (maybe 3000)

i feel like i always reply to yours hahah...i love my 2.3 and wouldnt trade it for any other one...i have yet to hear anything about the 2.9 but i would like to switch someday...i really dont want the 3.4 cause i dont wanna change the hood or notch it out either...honestly though for a stock motor 2.3 will give you all you can ever want!!

I run the 2.9 and its really nice. People are making huge numbers on them already. I havent had any issues and the install was very basic as long s you can read directions.... On the other hand if you upgrade your fuel setup like me its far far worse than the whipple install.

I run the 2.9 whipple stock pulley making 619rwhp on very very low timing 93 oct.
80lb injectors( you will probably max the 60s around 650-700 hp which is almost the stock pulley...)
fore triple hat with dual walb gss342 pumps
sct 3000
return style setup 8 an feeds 6an return line
fore rails

Lethal performance sell a complete return style kit which came with everything needed to install including the fittings and took all the guess work out of the equation and was well worth the price tag. I doubt ill ever reach the limit of my current setup, and if you did you could just add another pump and easily fuel 900+ hp
