2.9 you have to run a single blade TB i believe. I was running a 3.5 upper stock lower. Aparently they make different boost #s on different setups, but i was only seeing 16-17psi with it, some claim 18.

3.5 is the stock upper, so probably 18-20lbs. Thats about the max you will be able to run with pump gas.

i would change the upper before the lower cause thats when you start running into belt slippage issues my 3.0 upper runs at 20 psi and 21 with meth

I agree, i ended up grabbing a 3.2 and 3.0 pulley for my 2.9 thise go around. I dont really like the whole lower pulley thing unless you are running a eaton.

idk how efficient the 2.9s are i havent been around them enough to know...my guess would be mid to upper 600's...assuming they make more power with less psi then the 2.3...but i do know that they can boost higher too so they may not be that much more efficient it might just give you more safe room to boost it up high

i havent looked into them much to know pricing but i thought they came new like 5k??

Thats a good price. I paid around 3700 new for my 2.9 without the TB. You should see mid to high 600s in the 19-20lb range depending on a few other things.
