99'COBRA SVT WONT START ???
#12
I honestly think you should take it to a mechanic thats good with fords (as long as you can get it to start i wouldnt pay alot to tow it there) that has a ford factory scanner, or a snap on scanner (the ones that cost $14,000-$20,000) my work has one and it can read what your computer is thinking. This may or may not help but its worth the shot cause like uberstang said the pats shouldnt be hitting the fuel pump switch. Weird

I just got done fooling with my dealership and a supposed PATS problem... I took it there, they tell me it the pats module just like they told you. $440 later it didnt solve one thing. My issue ended up being my pcm, but to me it sounds like either your FPDM or fuel pump is going bad.

my friend had a similar problem with his 98 cobra, do you have keyless entry? well if you do the chip from your key and the module in the trunk or the antitheft is not alowing the car to start, it thinks that its being stolen, i found that i cant remeber but try both of them. hold both the unlock and lock buttons at the same time for like 30 secs then stick the key in the ignition and do the same thing just to get it right. when i did this it started right up. he had the problem of trying to troubleshoot then this simple thing worked. haha. i hope this solves your problem and saves you money.
