Default Humming noise from clutch

Well i did some street racing for fun on the high way. Did 4 runs and got off the highway, i turned on my heater to get some of the heat off the car. Then i pulled to a light with a friend in a boss 302. We were just playing around and we both took off and of course my car spun tires like hell, and i dunno what happened i think i wasnt paying attention and i was half way on my clutch and flooring it so yes i got my clutch hot, and i smelled it. I know clutches get hot and if they get really hot sometimes just let it cool down and you will be ok. But my problem is after the light "race" i here a humming noise sounds like from the clutch. It get louder a little with accel. Does anyone have a clue what it is?? im hoping tomorrow morning i can just see if cooling down did the trick.

Weird ..... lets see what happens on a cold start...drive the car "normal" for 10-15 miles!

Toasting a clutch is real easy and quick to do when you aren't paying 100% attention to what you are doing. Ride the clutch a few seconds at high RPMs and high load & the smell will let you know the damage you have done.
If the clutch disc got hot enough to stink, then the pressure plate & flywheel are most likely discolored & heat checked due to the heat.

If I had to take a WAG as to the hum you are hearing (without hearing & seeing it myself) I would guess it to be the throwout bearing. If the throwout bearing gets too hot the internal grease can cook and become hard, which obviously no longer lubricates.
The pilot bearing is most likely toast as well.

You have a very good point, i been doing research and alot of options were laid out but i started it yesurday cold. and it hummed for literally like 4 seconds and then stoppped and has yet to make any noise. Even after 2 more cold starts it didnt make any noise. So i might be ok for now, but i deffently will pay more attention i just wasnt that time.

sounds like a throw out bearing, your probly got it hot. if it went away your ok for now but may have shortened is longevity
