Is my 98 cobra worth rebuilding? *pics*

I have a 98 cobra with 68xxx miles. it has a *clean* title.

First the background story: I fell asleep while on a long trip up california. I hit a semi-trailer on the freeway. There was, i say, minimal damage for the accident it was in. The trailer bumper smashed my passenger headlight into my front fender and air bags deployed as well. There was a gap in my auto insurance so it never got fixed or received a salvage title. I left it at my parents house because i deployed to afghanistan. While i was away, my step-father without asking- cut my radiator support sub frame with a saws-all off. I was pissed but not going to get into that. FINALLY, with the pic below- do you guys thinks its worth putting back together AND ballpark estimates on how much it will all cost?

That is by no means a hack job. It appears the factory spot welds were drilled out in order to remove the damaged metal. This will make the repairs much easier and quicker. And If it were mine I would fix it.

Looks like a lot of work and money for a car that's only worth 3 grand to begin with! I say scrap it and move on.

Find a real clean '96-'98 GT and drop that engine and whatever other goodies from the Cobra into that.

As far as cost to fix vs. what it's worth I think the above post handled that. Unless you have sentimental attachment then move on.

I agree, would have had to been done anyway. Not that much more to do, just get a core support and fix it. As for the $3000 crack, I disagree, I sold my 170K mile 97 cobra with a lot of issues for $4500.
