Should I buy a "Terminator"?

Well I'm new around here and just wanted to ask a question and get some different opinions.

So I currently own a 2015 Dodge Challenger. I've always been a Dodge fan and I decided to make the purchase of a newer model Dodge.

That being said I've never been a newer model type of person I've always liked the early 2000's Mustangs especially the Terminator.

I have a couple cars I am looking at both are the E95 model Mustangs.

1. 2001 Mustang Mach 1, STOCK, 30k miles, $13,000
2. 2004 Mustang Cobra, STOCK, Convertible, 37k miles, $19,000 at a dealership.

BOTH ARE CLEAN CARS AND BOTH ARE COMPLETELY STOCK.

I wouldn't have trouble paying for ethier of them. I just am wondering which would be the best choice for the long run.

I don't drive far to work and the main driving I do is around town so there won't be crappie tons of miles going on the car.

I am wanting to put light mods on the terminator but nothing major. If I were to get the Mach 1 I'd want to supercharge it. So I wanted to come to the Mustang expert forums to see what you guys had to say about it!

I believe I would be happy with ethier choice but the terminator is the ONLY one in my area or even within 250miles of me for sale.

Thanks in advance!

If you're going to supercharge the Mach anyway then definitely go for the Terminator. Is it in good shape? Seems priced kinda low but check the prices of similar cars nearby (well as near as 300 miles) to sort of gauge the price...maybe it isn't low after all if thats how those are priced nearby.

For 19K its a 2011 GT Coyote for me, just saying BTW that Cobra wouldn't know what blew by it lol

Wait what am i saying that cobra wouldn't see anything but tail lights start to finish

I think that I agree with WJL..I don't want to pay up for an old one because of limited production or collector status.Mustangs have come a long way in the last 15 years.

Both cars are closer than you think at the dragstrip. Those older cars are also better for a weekend toy/nice weather car in my opinion.

I'll take note of the Terminator way before I take note of a 2010 GT. Those Termis send me.

Both those cars are way overpriced.

I would call the bank and see what the loan value is on either of those.

For $19,000 you could buy a nice Coyote GT with lots of potential for more horsepower and be a lot newer with better features.

The frame on 2005 and newer Mustangs are a lot stiffer than those pre 2005 Mustangs.

Just my 2 cents whatever it's worth.

Between the two cars, I go Cobra 100%.

But I also would be in the 2011+ coyote crowd. The interior of the new edge mustang is pretty horrendous.

If I remember right, mach 1's were only produced in 03 and 04, so either the year is wrong or it's fake.. unless I'm mistaken
