Hey guys, I currently own an 03 gt and like dreaming about getting an 03 cobra. What do you guys pay a month for your cobras? How much did you pay for yours and what type of loan did you guys get?? 4-5 year and such?? Any help would be appreciated becasue I would just like to know what it would cost a month for me to drive a cobra. Also is insurance alot more than a GT. It will be in my 50 year old dads name if that means anything, thanks guys, Kyle.

i looked into it a while back, for me being 19 id be paying about 600$/month for insurance and payment with a 10k deposit. somewhere around there. the insurance was higher actually, closer to 400 just for insurance. yep.

I saved for 3 years to buy mine. I still owe 5k and my payments are $169. My payments if I had no downpayment the payments would have been $570. Insurance added another $120 a month. Im 37 with kids and a family. I told them it was a garaged summertime family car.

Since you are ~19 or so, the insurance for you would match up well with my son who is 20. The Cobra is mine, on a < 5000 mile per year pleasure insurance policy. It is $400 every 6 months without my son on the policy (required a letter to state he would not drive and was not covered) the same policy was $2000/6 month without the letter even though the car was not his. I could not imagine what you would have to pay when they know the car is yours.

I got a steal when I purchased mine. It is an 04 Convertible and I bought the car from a private owner for $1500 under dealer trade in. I put $5K down and my payments are $400 a month with $105 a month for insurance.

im 20.. my 97 cobra i paid for cash(no, not my parents. i make more $ then they do) and they want like $4,100 a year.. i had one ticket back in 2003 that is off my record in september..

i have it in my parents name now, im not listed as a driver and they dont even know i live at this adress and its only $80/m for liability... i keep it locked in my car port in my back yard and only drive it to my work which is a private building.. other then that im either in the car or standing outside of it..no need for full coverage..i drive my explorer every other day which is $65/m in their name on insurance(trucks paid for too)

my bike(96gsxr1100paid for also) in my name is $630 a year for liability with progressive but will come down in september once that ticket dissapears..as long as i dont get anymore..

the reason i am telling you its paid for is not to sound cocky but because i am not sure if you have a loan if the insurance is higher or anything.. i think some one told me with a loan you have to do full coverage? not sure..

My "soon to be car" will be paid for by straight cash. I suggest just saving until you have enough money. That way in three years, if you still want it, you could easily get it, or whatever your latest dream car is. I have been saving for 3 years for the 03/04 cobra. I never saved enough, so I am settling for a 00 GT with all 03 Cobra moving parts. Honestly, if you savbe that long for something, and just pay cash, you will appreciate it that much more. I have friends who think I am rich or something, when in reality, they make more than I do. I just saved for mine. This way, insurance will be quite a bit cheaper too!

I saved money and paid for my cobra in full. I just got it a week ago. I paid my insurance off for the year it was 1700 dollars, otherwise it would have costed me 560 per month for insurance. If I financed my cobra it would have costed me 500 per month and 500 per month plus 560 for insurance is way too damn expensive.

i got a steal on my cobra its an 04 yellow coupe and i got it for 27,500 with 2000 miles on it pretty good deal in my book. i'm 22 and i own my own home and i had some equity so i just took out a home equity loan and it is about 220 a month and the insurance is 120 a month only because the car is under my moms name and i'm just an athorized driver.
