Default Texas One Plate Petition!

https://www.change.org/p/texas-state...share_petition

The One Plate Petition
Sign it and Remember to email your Texas Legislature, I've emailed mine, and the Rep. Larry Gonzales Who created a bill for it in 2013. Says it was left pending. So we need to get them to finish making a decision. To find your rep. google your zip or http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/Zip.aspx

When you do Email them, Remember to mention why you believe in One Plate For Texas. May it be blocking the Airflow to cool down the vehicle, how it affects aerodynamics causing you to waste fuel hurting the environment, and how it could cut state cost by eliminating the plate just like how we are eliminating the inspection sticker, how surrounding states only use one plate, the law being outdated and unclear on what counts as the front of the vehicle. And of course It makes Texas Automobiles look a lot nicer, with that clean front bumper :P

Please share and pass it along!https://www.change.org/p/texas-state...share_petition

But if you only have one license plate, crime will run wild!

We have two in Colorado. It's ridiculous. I've made the point to the folks at the statehouse that they could charge the same amount for one plate and make more money. Not sure what the rationale ip behind two plates is, but I'm sure someone will have a theory.

Well the only reason for the front plate I could believe in is for Red light cameras and speed cameras, but they are all designed for taking pics of the rear plate.

At night your headlights prevent anyone reading the front plates too.

And yes the state could save a ton of money, like with the removal of the inspection sticker and linking it to the registration sticker.

l'm sure its due to whoever makes the plates doesn't want to lose out on producing the second plate, or something along those lines.

The front plates have been around since way before red light cameras.

I know this thread is a little old, but I posted that petition to Facebook hoping it will get some attention and circulation. Apparently it only needs 750 more signatures to be addressed.
