Default alternator. so hot will burn your hand on 2004 3.9 v6

here is my problem! told alternator. is good, used warrenty today and had battery replaced, drove 5miles and parked the car, 8hours later get in car and at 4.5 miles battery needle dropped to nothing and car died and just clicked at attempt to restart. Its 1:30am i have to work in the morning and im stuck in a parking lot next to tacobell at 183 and 35. how the hell did a brand new 5year battery drain like that? Even if altenator was bad all the way i should get more than 9 miles off the battery. I had no radio on, and no a/c running. i need help please this one has me going crazy. power steeri.g is whining and has made a few.drops as of resent, altenator you cant touch it because of how hot it is. the heat coming off the engine is over powering the a/c inside. but car isnt o er heating. i wS worried gage wasnt working and removed the thermostat the other day. no help, still feel the heat. battery drains so fast that it makes no sence. just as its going to die the theft light starts blinking. just so i state every issue the drivers seat belt light and #!:;^

Your post is hard to read. An internal short in the alternator could drain the battery and create heat.

That's where I'd look too. You can take it to Autozone for a free test. It's real easy to confirm with a DC clampon meter, but these are kinda spendy.
