Just curious, since new mustang is targeting the global market, will it be much more expensive, let's say more than 23k for a starter model?
I mean, new style design, new engine, more power, and the independent rear suspension......

You should wait! How can you lose, if the 2015 is some kind of awesome, you can have your pick of the litter. If it is a polished turd, you can get a 2014 that they will be clamoring to get out of the doors of the dealership so people don't see them on the lot and wonder why Ford made a POS, or find a used one from people who want the newest best thing and they dump their old one on the market.

Yup I'm in the same predicament. By the end of the year, I'll have a serious down payment. Will it burn a hole in your pocket? Hell yes. Will you have to exercise some self-restraint or quite possibly experience buyer's remorse once the 2015 model is released? Again, hell yes.

You might be itching for a new mustang (like I am), but the worst that could happen if you chill and wait until next April is you realize you don't like the new design or the new chassis feel (IRS included) and grab a new 2014 for hella cheap compared to the asking price of today as dealerships scramble to move outdated (hardly) product.

Also to the OP, I imagine he assumed you were 16 years old based on your grammar and incomplete sentences. Better work on it, or you'll be flamed on every board. We're not texting your 'homies' here.

Wise advice in the two previous responses, but the test of patience is really hard! Hopefully in a year's time I can be rewarded with the 2014 Mustang I'm looking for at a great price. Don't think the 2015 is for me if it looks like what it's rumored to be.

I'm wondering the same. I bought our 10 GT when the 11's came out & got $9,600 off MSRP. If I can get a big discount off a 14 GT I'll go that route then upgrade the brakes & install an IRS myself.

But I decided I really liked the styling of the current model year. It is what I fell in love with and what I wanted. I've had my 14 for a week now and couldn't be happier.

I was thinking about trading my 2011 GT/CS for a 2014 Shelby, which I would intend to keep forever (famous last words). My problem with waiting is wondering what the availability and price will be of a Shelby once the 2015 is introduced if I don't like the new style. Will the Shelby be outdated or an instant classic? As noted above, will I suffer from buyers remorse?

I really, really liked the styling of the 2014's, with some of the minute, subtle changes it has over the 11-12's. (projector headlights etc) so i bought one. I love the way the car feels, i love the way it looks, so i'm happy. If the 2015's come out and happen to be extra awesome, i'll pick up a 2016 or 2017. Simple as that for me.

We sold our '97GT today and so that leaves me with my 07 GT500 and her with the 07 GT 'vert with full suspension and whipple charged. Earlier in the year we came close to ordering a GHIG '13 or '14 GT vert for her and ended up with the 07GT for her. I think what will happen is once the reveal is done, we will either stick with what we have or we'll trade hers towards a 13/14 GHIG like originally planned or my GT500 for the '15. I also am reticent to buy a first year new model, but if they keep the coyote and transmission, then some of the rest might be tolerable. Then again, she might just say lets keep what we have and enjoy it because we are having a lot of fun in what we've got!

I would wait. The service manager at my local Ford dealership is a friend of mine. He told me he had a sneak peek at the 2015 and the retro look is gone. I asked him what it looked like and he replied "not like a mustang, if one came up behind you on the street, you would not know it was a mustang" Change for the sake of change is not good. Remember the Mustang II ?
