These renderings were taken from Mustang6g.com. What do you guys think of these renderings? Best ones I've seen yet!

Really nice renders. However, every time Ford has come out with a new gen of Mustang, they have been radically different from the previous gen. All the renders I've been seeing look like the next version of an S197.

It looks terrible. Like Ford couldn't decide to hold onto S197 cues or go with a more modern look.

And Ford needs to stop with the grill. The Mustang deserves design cues seperate from other Ford vehicles. GM and Mopar do this and all their vehicles just look like different reproductions of the same thing.

How anyone who owns a S197 can call these "terrible" is beyond me. Have you seen your current car? It doesn't look that different from this. Drama queens.

Not really true with the SN95 and new edge though.

Exactly. I think some of the issue people have is with the way the front is trying to fit in with the Fusion's look.

If only Ford did with the Mustang as Porsche did with the 911, eh? Keeping it looking basically the some but making it more modern/better mechanically and technically throughout the years. Most 911s apart from the slant nose in the '80s just look great.

Cool photochop but in the end, it's just that. Ford described the new design as a completely different model. That design just looks like an upgraded version of the S197. Remember, each generation shares cues with the previous but looks radically different. Here's a recap of Ford Mustangs over time, as you will see, none of those renderings looks like a new model, instead they all look like an S197 Redesign 3:

1964 1/2 1rst Gen

1969 1rst Gen Remodel

1974 Mustang II Gen 2

1979 Mustang Gen 3

1986 Mustang Gen 3 Redesign

1994 Mustang Sn95 Gen 4

1999 Mustang Sn95 Edge Gen 4 redesign

2005 Mustang S197 Gen 5

2010 Mustang S197 Gen 5 Remodel

2013 Mustang S197 Gen 5 Remodel 2

Well, if the renderings are anything like what comes out, I'd say it follows the Euro cues in that it reminds me of the newer beamers...

But that's just me

Exactly. I like the render but I don't think the next gen Mustang will look that closely to the current gen.
