Pricing?
Just wondering what you guys think the pricing on the new car may be?
I know that the GT premiums are currently around 36k, Convertables are around 40k
I read somewhere that the 2015's will start out around 23k which I am guessing is the V6.
Now that they are adding the ecoboost to the line up i think that will bump the GT's up in price. Then when you consider IRS added HP all the technology they
are adding to the car I am a little concered what the price Tag is going to be.
Perhaps us GT guys will find the Ecoboost 'stang in our current price point and GT's will climb into the 40's?
Don't say it cant happen, it wasnt to long ago you could get a nice GT in the 20k range.

I can't remember where I read it, however it showed the price increase of the mustang over the years and that included when a new model was released. It predicted with the 2015 that the cost of the GT would go up around $1500 to $2000 over the 2014's price tag. I have been slowing looking over it more and more and it has begun to intrigue me each time I gaze at it. Still need to see it in person, however if I like it I might place an order for one when they begin to hit the dealer lots.

I'm guessing close to $38K for a gt premium with little or not other options. That is to much damn money. Too many Americans look at the monthly payments and nothing else. If I were to spend $38,000 cash on a car, it would not be a new mustang.

Yeah, I agree. The Mustang is SUPPOSED to be a cheap car, that was the whole point originally. I understand new technology costs more, but they've gone way past what I'd spend. I paid like $16k for my car last year, if I spent any more than that it'd be on a Terminator, I paid $21k for that. Past that I can't see me spending any more on a Mustang really. Give it a couple of years and the used ones will be cheap. They still don't hold value, they just cost a lot up front to have the latest and greatest.

Your guess is probably my guess as well for the premium, I could see the base/no option GT around $33k, that $40K mark will be hard for Ford to put the premium at. Sad thing is the mustang use to be one of those powerful cars made for the average american so they could say they have a awesome car without having to pay $60k plus to get that. However, the GT is eclipsing the affordable range for the average american, that isn't Ford's fault as it is really our failing economical system pushing these cars out of the majority's range.

I'm guesstimating a base 15 GT will start at about where the current premium model GT starts at. I also read of a $23k starting price. So I'm assuming pricing to be little more than prices now, before the added mark up, that is.

I'm curious to know what else would be good for 38k? Were you thinking of going for a used shelby? or mods for your current stang?
