Default the new mustang

I hope I do not offend anyone by bringing this up but just wish for a couple other Mustanger's input. I had a 2011 V6 which I sold, got a 2013 GT, which I sold and now drive a 2014 Escape 2.0L turbo. Very nice SUV.

Went to the Kansas City Auto show. Saw the 2015 Mustang. THATS ALL IT TOOK! Contacted my salesperson at my favorite dealer and said,,,I am trading my Escape in, got to have the new Mustang. Was told I should be able to order it sometime in May. Expected delivery should be mid August to first part of Sept.

Now my question: All the talk about the new 2.3L Turbo, 305 hp, 300tq at 2500 rpm.

Which would you guys get,,the New 2.3L Turbo or the GT?

Thanks

Kind of an apples to oranges comparison.

Ask yourself, "Does sound matter?".
Yes = GT
No = 2.3L Turbo

The 2.3L turbo would be in play in a Fusion or a Escape. But, not if I am getting a Mustang. I would go with the 5.0 every time.

Ummm... I'd still hold out until the VooDoo V8 is released in its twin turbo form.

Then everything else doesn't matter. Allow me to toss some bones while waving my Chicken claws as I unleash my wicked VooDoo on the world.

This voodoo v8 isn't going to be in anything a normal person can afford. I would get the 5.0 over any turbo 4 cyl. If the 4 cyl made the same power, I'd still get the v8.

Kinda depends on your personality.

In reality, the 2.3L will be a good fuel-efficient engine that is lighter than the V6/V8 and will probably be tune-able to 340HP…so it'll be faster than a V6 Mustang. More power, more fuel economy, lighter…to me this means the death of the V6 (don't care).

But to me the Mustang's most appealing aspect is its exhaust note. You can't get that with the 4cyl.

If my wife or my brother wanted a Mustang I would not hesitate to buy them the 2.3L as it fits their needs better, and I'm sure I'd enjoy driving it, but V8 all the way for me.

Now I just need to find out the cost, I have $50k budgeted, not sure if that will buy me a special edition car like the Boss 302 replacement…but I hope it will.

Default 4 cyl or 8 cly

After reading I think the consensus of the group is right. V8
As for specialty, I don't want to go that high. A loaded V8 is probably going to be about $44k. That is with the break and gear package , whatever they will call it. Navigation and interior upgrade. From what I have read, the GT350 may/may not come out right away but if it does it will be pricey.
I have read Mach 1 for 2016.

I have read hp for the 5.0 could be 432 to 475. I am hoping more closer to 475.

Oh, and stick all the way.
