Has anyone noticed that the back plastic plate on the trunk where the GT logo is gets dirty in a matter of seconds? I am looking to replace it with rather a chrome or carbon fiber back. I want to clean it up and get the plastic off. Does anyone know if a company makes this? Or does anyone have any tips on keeping it clean after the wash. Even water drops are drying and showing up on it! It is driving me nuts!

Carbon fiber replacement FTW!

I've been wanting to replace mine as well and love the idea of a carbon fiber one. The only one I've seen for sale as an individual part is the gloss black one from Ford Racing. Roush makes one with their name on it but I've only seen it on their complete vehicles. I did find this carbon one from Shelby but can't find it for sale on its own. Anybody seen it elsewhere?

Use a microfiber cloth to dry it. I have had no issues at all with spots showing, but because of the gloss look and probably a bit of static electricity, dust does seem to show up quickly

If you find a replacement, post a picture....

I have no problem cleaning it, but it shows dirt immediately, and the fact that there's no real way to close the trunk without touching either the paint or the black panel that I've seen.
