2015+ is a new platform and completely redesigned suspension (IRS!), hard to ignore that.

It is if the performance of the ecoboost, which supposedly matches the 2005-2009 4.6L sucks ***, and the car looks like a shark with deformities.

I am so used to stangs having a solid rear axle that IRS doesn't really impress me, but what I did like about the S550 was the extra interior room, and the dash layout.

If you could make me a mustang with the S550 Interior, and the 2010 Front end coupled with the 2013/14 rear end.... I would be in heaven.

Yea, I was very unimpressed by the stock Ecoboost when I test drove one (the 201a interior also seemed "cheaper" and more "plasticy" than a GT with the 401a interior). (Repeating myself here but...) I've heard you can make the EB a lot more respectable with just a CAI and a Tuner (dropping the 1/4 times to 12.9-13.0) but you'd be voiding your warranty just to make the car more fun... And I'd assume it still has that awful turbo-lag

But anyway, personally, I love the new body style. I loved my 2013's body as well but the 2016s look amazing to me; has remnants of a 67/68 fastback molded with a modern super-car, IMO. In pictures I was very unsure of the new body style (especially the tail lights), but when I saw it in person at the dealership I was almost immediately sold.

As I said earlier though, to each their own. I know people who hate the look of new edge Mustangs and others who dislike the S197s. If you dislike the new body style, hold out till Ford "updates it" in a couple years.

How does a fully redesigned, upgraded suspension not impress you?

Buy whatever makes you happy. If the S550 does not make your naughty bits get all tingly then look for something else that does.

For me the S550 is the best looking Mustang since the 64-68 Mustangs. For me everything up until about 2005 was a mistake. YMMV

I'm also pretty biased: my parents have a 67 GT with a 390 and I have 2013 V6 Premium and a 2015 GT Premium.

While I like the Mustangs of old, the new IRS and body style certainly speak to me. While I wanted to get the PP, some health issues made me rethink and get the auto. Should have my special order in a couple weeks.

No way I would do a non-V8 2015.. they need all the power they can get. I am having a hard time going from my 07 GT to a 16 GT because of the weight increase. You can really tell a big difference when driving.

& No I am not impressed with the new suspension whatsoever. It's a boat anchor and the wheel hop is outrageous. I drove a '13 and '15 5.0 back to back. The '15 is a much nicer car to drive normally, but it is definitely not as quick or lively as the '13 was.

The '13 was a blast banging through gears, but there is more noise and vibration when just cruising down the road.. so I am torn too.

I'm waiting to see Ford's response to the 2016 Camaro. They have a lot of improvements to make before I spend my hard earned money on a new one.

They need to hurry up too, because my 07 is falling apart lol

Oh, and I LOVE the styling of the 2015-16 cars FWIW. The cars look so so so good to me. Just less weight and more power please.

Wheel hop, yes. It is an IRS and doesn't have the same characteristics that drag racers love about a solid rear axle, however... There is a giant difference on the track even with the extra weight.

it's bull**** anyway since my 2012 GT wheelhopped all over the place. except it was worse because it had 400 pounds of weight hopping around back there.

Bolts ons, tune, DR's and you have yourself an 11 second car in the Ecoboost. I'm debating on selling my Mach for one.
