A dealer near me has a fully decked out 2014 Convertible GT... No discounts and not willing to negotiate. While not too common, you have to remember, some dealers just suck

Sounds like a great buy! That's better than I did on ordering a new 2016. I suspect at the end the dealers might have had some extra help from Ford. The biggest factor in buying off the lot is getting exactly what you want on the car without paying for extras you don't really want. I couldn't find a 2015 I wanted any place. They were all loaded with stuff I didn't want to pay for & I wanted an GT Automatic like the one I ordered below. I suspect my deal had about $200. left in it, plus a small extra discount from Ford based on their quarterly sales discount. I got a sweetheart deal from a guy I had sent quite a few sales over the years. I also would never find the car below on a lot! My 2016 was as below:

Sweet ride gears94gt, now your name becomes gears15gt, right? I'm looking at doing the same thing. Local Ford dealer has a bunch of 15 Mustangs and one of them is a Red GT Premium, manual tranny, 3:55 gears, Nav and 20" wheels & tires. Sticker is $44, $2990 upcharge for 20" wheels & tires. I'm gonna go in and tell them first off, you pay the first years depreciation, not me. I'm shooting for $35. It also has some funky dealer installed vinyl stripes that they will remove. Pic doesn't show the wheels & tires but they are very similar to the wheels & tires on your GT Premium.

It could be the same car/dealer. (Newins Ford?) The car is a loaded vert,and given the premium that they wanted for a Shelby,I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same place.

Nah, it's in Burlington, NJ. The sales guy I spoke with there was such a huge jerk I was in disbelief. I went in as my lease was ending on my 2013 GT (this was back at the end of September 2015) and the dealer I had leased with was about 30 minutes away from my house while this other dealer was about 5 minutes away, so I figured I'd pop in to start a relationship and to see "what's up" with switching over to them as my dealer once the 2016s were available for leasing. The guy goes "Well you can't lease GTs" after I explained why I was there, I stared at him blankly and (re)stated "I have a 2013 GT... On lease. It's up in November.". The conversation continued on like this, at one point I also told him I was considering a V6 or an Ecoboost this go-round and he goes "I only like V8s". I left shortly after. There's a lot more to it with the guys attitude and other things that I really don't feel like getting into, but simply put, I've been to Infinity dealers, multiple Ford dealers, Jaguar dealers, Lexus dealers and Mercedes dealers and I've never been treated like that at a car dealership in my life and I will never be going back to that dealer again. Made the drive to McCafferty in Langhorne, PA a couple weeks later when Ford released the leasing-info, walked out with another great deal on a lease for a GT (2016). When this lease is up I may keep it or see if I can get a "left-over" 2017/2018 convertible GT for a good deal.

I recommend contacting all the local dealers by email & squeezing them for a low, low price on a 2016! You should be able to get a GT Premium for the $37 to low $38K range if you squeeze hard enough & don't buckle! Don't believe any of their cost figures! They'll all say it is impossible, BUT mine cost me $36,500 with an automatic & a $1000. extra for paint & stripes! If you were in SoCal I could hook you up with one with no hassle at all! Good luck!
