2. How do you "Shut Sync 3 up" when I don't have my cell phone with me? The systems keeps say, "No Cell phone available" or something like that every 5 minutes or so. There must be a way to shut that off! I'd hate to drive cross country with out my cell phone! I'd have to take an ax to the stereo system to shut it up! How do I shut it up?

Thanx in advance for any help!

Hi Mr. D,

You can shut off the Bluetooth on SYNC so that it stops trying to connect. Touch Settings, choose Bluetooth then, Off. In regards to the Dash Gauge colors, please contact our Customer Relationship Center at 1-800-392-3673, and select option 1 then option 4. Representatives are available Mon - Fri from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (ET) and Sat from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (ET). They are also available through chat at: owner.ford.com

Thanx for the defense Angel, but we just have to accept that some of the posters on this forum are simply rectums for lack of a better term!

Thanx Joy! Does shutting off Bluetooth also shut off my phone connection for the next time I have the phone in the car? If so... maybe I'll have to put a sign in my Mustang next to the start Button that says - "PHONE??" I think the question on the Dash Gauge colors was answered by another poster, although I haven't tried it yet! (The lights have to be on to change the colors!)

I have a New Ford Edge on order, so I'm doing my part to help support your job!

Thanx again!

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were from the new "do everything for me" generation when I suggested reading the cars manual on how to operate a factory installed system that was working as designed.

Hi Mr.D,

There will be no Bluetooth connection available once you turn the feature off in the vehicle. Thanks for being a loyal customer! Hope you enjoy the new Edge!

Instead of getting a message telling me I couldn't change the dash light color in the daytime... why didn't the message say: "Turn on the headlights Dummy!" I could have understood that! LOL!

I turned on the lights & it allowed me to change the dash light color! Duh!

Now I have to figure out how to shut up the Mustang if I forget to take my cell phone with me.... without disconnecting my cell phone! It would be nice to to have a button on the display that shuts off the message saying that the Sync cannot connect to my cell phone.... for all of eternity! The fear of that message makes me remember to take my cell phone! Yikes, maybe my iPhone is controlling my Mustang!

Wow! Here's a picture of the problem with some of you guys! Being new to my Mustang I didn't get what was going on as is explained on that page! You are perfectly right as to where to find the answer...& I THANK YOU FOR THE HELP! I MEAN THAT... BUT... next time it would be nice if you provided the help in a "less snarky" way! I wasn't too lazy to look in the owner's manual. I simply wasn't catching on to the 911 Assist purpose of what the SYNC system was doing. Now I get it! Best to leave it along & be better about taking my iPhone with me! I'm waiting for a new Edge for my wife & it will be nice to have that 911 system for her safety. AGAIN, thanks for the help!
