0-60 times worse after 3.73's

Gear changes are now made through the BCM, not the PCM. You need the Whipple flare tool to make these changes or your car will never run right. Some don't even run at all after a gear swap.
Also gear changes don't always make ones car faster. The 5.0's with the autos run best with 3.15's or 3.31's N/A. Anything after that is over gearing the car.

Scottmach,
I have a 2016 Mustang GT Auto, can you elaborate a bit on your last comment about 3.73's not necessarily making an auto faster? The car is bone stock with 3.15 gears and it feels like a pig. I've had 3.73's in my 1988 LX, 1997 GT, 2007 GT, and always loved them. But they were all manuals too. So why the difference with the auto now?

I'll say my cars drivability has definitely improved but the 0-60 has gone down. I do believe better tires would help a bit but I don't see it making my 0-60 better than where I was at before. But by drivability I mean while cruising in 6th gear can punch it and it goes unlike before. While alredy moving and then putting the petal to the metal it hits harder as well but my launches frighten suck now. My G'S from a launch went down from .86 to my best ever with new gears is .64.

The 3.73's you had in previous years are irrelevant here due to the aggressive gearing in your 6r80. 1st gear in the 6r80 is 4.17 compared to previous years where 1st was 2.6x.

Well of course your car will feel like a pig bone stock. The first thing you need is a tune. That will wake your car up big time. And if you want to make your car even faster after that look at getting a converter.

Really thinking about getting a GT soon.
