Default 2015 Mustang in Venice Beach, CA

We were able to make it out to see the 2015 in person this evening just as the sun was setting over Venice Beach. It made for some halfway decent shots from my phone that I wanted to share with you guys.

Some of the design details translate much better in person and the rear end is as fantastic as it looks in photos. I suppose they only had red paint in the factory for these cars since that is basically all has been shown but here are the pics!

One member had his 65' parked next to the 2015 for some shots and I got a few photos of the other guys who showed up in their Mustangs.

Glad I gambled & bought the 2014 'vert..
This 2015 doesn't look too bad.
I think they may have compromised in too many areas with the Fusion for production efficiency.
As long as they don't make any in Mexico, on the Fusion line down there, I guess it'll do.

I'm happy your pictures of the 2015 turned out a bit dark...... it hides the fact that the new car is UGLY ! A Fusion grille on a big fat nose, and that carried over slanted ahead tail light panel from the last generation that everybody hated.

Its a Fusion with a wider front end.

The rear end is more akin to the S197 2010-2014, but the lights and faux gas cap panel are angled forward too much; even more than the 2011-2014 rear end.

I was hoping that Ford would make the lights and faux gas cap panel straight up and down again.

I agree, I just don't understand what aesthetics or mechanical function they achieve with this or the 2010-2014 rear designs? I know there are some people that like it, but there are a lot of people that do not.

There are visual similarities but I'd be willing to bet that the Mustang and Fusion don't share a single exterior part and I say "exterior" only because it's within the realm of possibility that it could share a mechanical component or two and even that's doubtful.

I'd go further and do some checking but they haven't released the '15 parts catalog to us yet.
