Save the 2015 Prototype!

As with most prototypes, Ford plans to crush the S-550 when production begins. Please sign this petition asking Ford not to crush this historically valuable car!

Why do they need one's street address and email?

I don't understand why they would want to scrap that car.

I think they're going to keep at least one of them, but scrap the rest.

I think the address and such are not mandatory. As for why they crush them, who knows...

As for keeping one, they have specifically said they're going to crush them.

Why would they crush them if they could sell them? Collectors would pay money to have them in their garage.

They need to scrap these so when the production line models come out, you can't refer to the original and determine what a crummy job was done in implementing the production and what line-modifications were done (quality reductions) in order to mass produce it.

Most prototypes aren't very street friendly - so the manufacturers don't want them getting into the hands of someone who will try driving it daily and then sue them.

Rest easy, 'stang lovers. I assure you atleast one or two of these prototypes will escape the crusher and find it's way to a rich investor's collection where it will never see the light of day again.
