Race Red convertible and DIB coupe out testing
 

Interested in the convertible? Look at what I spotted out testing in Rochester, MI this week. And it is in the correct color.

I noticed that the badges are different on this coupe and convertible. Not sure what packages they go to. Neither one had a 5.0 badge on it.

I spotted this out several weeks back, forgot I had it saved. It was still in camo and debadged so they must be testing something new.

Possibly...the rear deck scheme:

GT for the 5.0
Pony for V6
Tri-bar for the Eco-boost four

Maybe???

Someone else said tri-bar for V6, Pony for Ecoboost, and GT for 5.0

Has a fine lookin' rear end.

This to me makes more sense, since the tribar/pony has been the v-6 badge for years.:icon_patriot:

I'm guessing the tribar is for the EB 2.3L.

MM&FF mag made a guess that some cars will get the rear trunk lid fake rear gas cap carried over form the S197.
I won't believe it until I see them. Since the S550 is styled to entice Euro buyers, I doubt the fake gas cap will be on order.

I will stay with my conclusion, if you go to Fords website and build and price, on the back end it shows, Tribar on a v-6, Pony on the EB, and GT on the v-8 :icon_patriot:

not necessarily; the VP prototypes may be older but they're still valid for engineering testing. they don't immediately get junked after the later builds.

There was another "test drive" article on the interwebs for the EB 2.3, and it had just the plain pony like on Ford's site. Maybe V6's get the plain pony as well as part of a premium or some-such package.
