2015 Performance Pack?

The one I drove was a white with ebony cloth recaros the only options were the seats and the PP. It listed for $37,015 it was pretty stiff on the bumps but I like it a lot. From what I have seen the best I could do on this car would be about $34,000. I think I am going with a 2013-2014 GT Premium I can get a low mile car for $26,000-$29,000 there are tons around with less than 10,000 miles still have 1-2 years of factory warranty. I figure I can get one of these for $5,000-$8000 less and have more options like shaker, leather seats etc. This is a extra car for wife and I so that price range is much more attractive for us right now.

The performance pack is great, but, for me, $37k+ is a hell of a lot of money for a base car, with just the PP. My '13 5.0 was a base car, so this time, I wanted a little more. If I would've got a premium PP car, I would've been looking at about $43k! Too much for me. My car may not have the PP, but it's got everything else, and I'm happy with that. IMO, the toggle switches are a must have, but they only come with the premium.

There's nothing wrong with picking up a used '13-14 premium GT, hell if you take the time to look, you can find a left over new one for a steal. With all the rebates and incentives, some places are practically giving them away!

Nice car dude; love the ruby red and your leather interior!

The more cars I drive and the more I think about it I probably don't want the Performance Package like I thought I did. My wife and I will be taking several trips in this car and the softer ride will be nice when we go on a 500-1000 mile trip.

I was refering to the 3.73 torsen diff since the OP mentioned it in post #1.

You can get the Performance Package and then just swap out the PP springs and struts/shocks for normal GT units, keeping the Torsen Diff, 15" Brembo's, better cooling, chassis bracing, wheels/tires, etc.. Adding everything but the stiffer riding PP suspension will cost over triple the PP package cost, while downgrading to the softer suspension you swap yourself for less than $600.

Don't forget different tires than summer only as part of that swap, maybe even the rims if you don't like the style. But all those parts may be sellable anyway.

I just ordered / purchased a base 300a along with the PP and Recaro seats!!! With the X-plan and taxes I paid a little over $36k out the door!

I drove a '15 fully loaded GT with the performance package a couple of weeks ago. The local Ford Dealer's son ordered it in an all black package. He was kind to let me give it a test drive. The Recaro seats were very comfortable but do not have a power adjustment. I use that feature in my 05 GT to get in and out so was surprised it did not have that. The things that stood out to me were the Brembo brakes. There was a very noticeable difference. They are much stronger than my GT. The engine ran very strong with plenty of torque. Seems a bit stronger than my tuned 05. The only thing I didn't like was the clutch. It felt very, very soft. I like a much stiffer feel. Compared to my car it was very quiet. Of course I have muffler delete axle backs so the difference was dramatic. I do think they need to allow for more sound out the tail pipes. As an old school guy, in my 60's, I at first did not like the pictures of the new design. But in person, I really liked the way it looks except for the roof profile. I'm sure this model will appeal even more to the younger buyers. Ford has satisfied us old guys with the 05 - 14 models. But, who knows, I might add a '15 to my garage some day.

It seems like the PP is a bargain given all the add-ons. I'm prob not going that way due to finances, in addition to already driving a car with coilovers. I've heard ppl comment that it rides too soft and others say too stiff. Looks like a test drive is in order for anyone seriously considering that upgrade.
