Default Cowl Shake in a 2015

I've posted before on my son's 2008 GT (hardtop). (I've posted before and gotten great responses and appreciate the help). It will soon be time to pass along to him.

I am very seriously considering a 2015 convertible (vs. a Cayman S... And I know they are 2 very different cars).

I cannot find much on the internet about cowl shake in the 2015, although I see some number quotes that are hard to grasp. (Pounds per Twist). Any comments on that? Who has one and what is their experience?

Points of reference. I live in Atlanta, so not the smoothest roads in the World, but not the worst ice and snow pocked, or country dirt roads either. I drive spirited but not too crazy. I like to carve a little on our N.GA Mountains and Atlanta hills and I accelerate pretty brisk every now and then but I'm not big into autocross or drifting or power sliding or maximizing 0 to 60 times. Also, my son's GT has stock suspension and I appreciate that it could use some updates, I've never really been "... disappointed" after driving the car.

Seems to me the "... softness" of the convertible (... as compared to a Cayman or other super tight set up) would not really be apparent to somebody like me. On the other hand, I don't want to buy a sporty looking convertible and that rides like a Corvair makes me regret the purchase every time I see a nice little curve in the road that could be fun.

I am planning on going to drive one, but not sure how much seat time I will be able to get on a demo. We'll see.

Thanks in advance for feedback.

JKC

PS I'd buy the GT with manual transmission.

All that I can say is that I think Ford has made the chassis more rigid with each new year of production.
My 04 vert has cowl shudder, but I think that the 2015s must be pretty good in that regard,or as good as a convertible can be.

if you compare the two side by side, you can definitely feel the convertible's a bit more "jiggly." But it really can't be any other way; the roof of a unibody is a significant part of its structure so you can't realistically completely offset its removal.

But it's nowhere near as bad as it was with the Fox cars.

Don't just test drive one at dealer for a limited little run, rent one for the weekend, and drive the snot out it, then you will have your answer.
