For the last few days when I get in my car and start it I'll get a warning that my truck is open. WTF? I hop out and sure enough it needs to be closed.
My car is parked in the garage.


Does this happen to anybody else?

Yes, if I keep my keys in my pocket, my fat rolls sometimes will hit that button.. I have even remote started my Sorento a few times.

*doh* weird how I mean to type one thing and type another. 8)


Anyway - I think I figured it out. The trunk button is right next to the sunglasses compartment. I'm hitting the button without even noticing it.


It's also possible that I'm hitting the button on the key fob, but I think that is less likely because it requires two button presses together.


Anyway - I don't think the North Koreans are hacking my car after all.

I was about to post asking if you were reaching for your sunglasses in the side compartment as I've accidentally hit the trunk button a couple times when not paying attention
